A Picture of My Actual Face?!
I was debating long and hard about this. I like to think of this blog as my little quiet hub of the cyber universe, where I can tuck my feet up and sit down with a nice cup of coffee without fearing what people think of me physically. But recently I've noticed several of my blogger friends have either updated their profiles to include a majestic photo of themselves, or they've been sharing pictures from their lives.
I normally blur out my face in pictures or cover it with a cheeky little smiley face using the magic of editing. But you guys have just been so lovely these past few weeks, putting up with this evil April Fool's Day prank, and supporting me through a little rough patch I had. So I've decided to post a picture of what I look like in this post, so that you hopefully feel a little more on a personal reader-blogger basis with me. Granted, you'll have to click the "Read More" thing to see it, because, hey, I can't just throw my face out there all willy-nilly. I have standards. And regulations.
I'm pretty terrified to stick my picture in this post, and equally embarrassed because it's . . . a selfie. I know, I know, the horror! But it's the best one I had on hand.
So.
Real-life Seana face in . . .

Well. Here's my face. Huzzah? Now you know what I look like without the magic blur-face editing that I normally do. (I also just realized how dark my eyes were in this picture, and that this was pre-haircut choppage. Man, my hair was looong!) Hope you enjoyed this post? It seems odd to say that when the whole post was basically my face . . .
That is all.
Cheers,
Sea

I know I haven't commented in FOREVER, but you are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAlso I totally fell for your April fools day prank. I was rather saddened until I saw your next post.
Yay, you've come back! (: You're so sweet though, thank you!
DeleteHaha, I'm still surprised by how many people I fooled. Perhaps there's a future for me in professional pranking?
YOU IS VERY PRETTY!!!
ReplyDelete~The Unstoppable Child
YOU IS A LOVELY PERSON! (:
DeleteSeana has a face now! I have kind of tried to imagine what you look like and terribly failed... You're really pretty!!! (And I know you said your eyes turned out dark, but they are gorgeous :) )
ReplyDeleteHaha, my imagined faces for bloggers are never quite right either. But thank you! Someone once told me my eyes were mesmerizing, but then he got all embarrassed and red. (:
DeleteYou're so pretty! I will never be able to compete with that. No photos on the internet for this Destiny. But seriously, if you want to see my face you can go to my brother's twitter. (I have told you that my brother is Liam, right?) But, yeah...nice face! :)
ReplyDelete~D. Skye <3
Des, you're basically a goddess! (I do remember you mentioning the siblingness a while ago, but it kind of went to the back of my mind.) But thank you. You're so sweet. (:
DeleteAwwww, thanks... :)
DeleteI finished Clockwork Angel! And oh my giddy aunt, the ending!!! I need to read The Mortal Instruments immediately!
~D. Skye <3
Excuse me, I finished Clockwork Princess, not CA. Whoops...
Delete~D. Skye <3
OH. MY. GOSHHHH! Did you about faint because of it? I just love how Cassandra Clare worked out the love triangle. It's BRILLIANT. Please tell me how you like Mortal Instruments! The first few aren't nearly good as the last ones. (:
DeleteThat is one of the best resolutions of a love triangle that I have ever seen. IT WAS SO CUTE!!!!!
DeleteAnd yes, I will tell you how I like them. Hopefully, I will find the time to read them soon. Should I read the Bane Chronicles before or after I read the Mortal Instruments?
~D. Skye <3
I know! But, moment of truth, are you a Will fan or a Jem fan?
DeleteRead Bane chronicles after. I don't think there's spoilers in it, but it'll make more sense and be just more fulfilling to read after. (:
WHY must you ask that question? I can't answer! Oh, you know it's Jem. But when it was Will, it was Will. Except when he was a jerk. I think I pretty much went along with whatever Tessa was feeling. But overall, I'm with Jem.
Delete~D. Skye <3
Same here! Tessa's emotions made me keep changing my mind. As lovely as Jem is and as sweet he is, I still would have to go with my gut and say Will. I guess I'm a sucker for adventurous and sarcastic guys with blue eyes. And he's just so adorable sometimes. (:
DeleteThe sarcasm and witty banter are fantastic. Wouldn't it be wonderful if there were a combined Will/Jem character? Just sayin....
Delete~D. Skye <3
Will and the cannibal ducks, haha! (: Yes yes yes! We need a Will/Jem. We can call him . . . um . . . Wem? I would marry that boy, ridiculous name mash-up or no.
DeleteWem...or Jill? Yeah...no. :) Unfortunately, I missed the cannibal ducks at the beginning of the series, so I was kind of confused when they brought that up. It's still funny though. :)
Delete~D. Skye <3
Haha, the cannibal ducks make me giggle every time. Will's so dramatic and fun, and Jem is just the sweetest little teddy bear of a guy that makes you want to squeeze him.
DeleteI've never thought of my eyebrow game as being that strong, but thank you for saying so. (:
ReplyDeleteHaha, my mental images of my fellow bloggers are probably not at all accurate. (I'll be honest. I read them all in an American accent like mine. Oops!)
Yes! Come to the state that looks like a mitten and find a city there that celebrates tulips. I'll be around. (Just realized how cryptic and mysterious that was. I was just trying to say where I live without saying where I live exactly.) We can party hard and I'll show you my best attempt at a British accent.
So, you should know this is a difficult post to comment on, because although I told myself I'd comment on anything you posted (for a little while, at least— I can't forever), I can't just echo everyone else because, while true, that seems kind of creepy. So, instead, I'll skirt around it.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about having a corner of the internet where people judge you for your personality. That's one of the great things about the internet at this point— you can meet someone and like them for their personality before every judging them for physical appearance. It's wonderful, but if anyone ever wants to be connected between internet and real life (which is one of the big reasons to use social media), their face has to be revealed sometime. Choosing when that happens is one of the hardest decisions ever.
I applaud you. I applaud you for making it now, after years of stellar blogging. I applaud you for not putting it off longer. You're confident with yourself, and that's great. Go you.
Haha, well most guys don't go around telling people they're pretty with several exclamation marks, so I'll let you off easy. But thank you for stopping by anyway.
DeleteI love blogging for that very reason. You meet people and find lovely friends, and there's no pressures from peers or media that says you can't just enjoy talking with them because they're different than you. But I didn't want people thinking I'm like a distant robotic figurehead who isn't entirely real, you know? (I'm assuming that your profile picture you're using to comment with is your actual face as well? Look at us, stepping out of our comfort zones! Huzzah!)
*bows* Go me, indeed. (:
Haha, same here. In my head they're all mini versions of me, which is not even close to who they actually are.
ReplyDeleteYou'll find it very easily I think. (:
