Hello, Little One

Hello, lovelies!

You might remember this post that I wrote almost two years ago when we had to put my dog down. Well, about a month ago, we got a new little addition to the family.

Meet little Shelby! She's a mini labradoodle, so while she has all the qualities and fluff of a full size labradoodle, she'll only get to around 15 lbs or so. When we first got her, it was rainy and cold outside, and she looked like a poor little wet rat. For a good while I had her bundled up in a blanket and she wouldn't stop making these sad little puppy noises. Now, however, she's a little bundle of energy and she is one of the softest little munchkins I've ever touched.

She's already put on a few pounds, and in puppy standards, she's gotten HUGE. I'd been begging for a dog ever since we our last one passed away, and I was ecstatic when I found out we were getting one. (I may or may not have cried a lot when I found out, because I'm very emotional for being a small person.) We also got Shelby a little pink teddy bear for a toy, and she loves it so much. And by "loves it" I mean that she alternates between snuggling with him and play fighting him, and it's the most adorable thing.

Let me know what kinds of pets you have in the comments, because little animals are so adorable. (:

That is all.

Cheers,
Sea

  2. AAHHH she's sooo adorable. I don't have any pets, but I want a puppy because they're so cute. (Also I'm allergic to cats)

    1. My family's allergic to cats too, but we chose the labradoodle since they're supposed to be hypoallergenic and help keep shedding down to a minimum. (:

  3. SHE IS SO ADORABLE!!!!

I, unfortunately, don't have any pets. For one thing, my little sister is allergic to many different types animals, and for another, my family has a bad habit of killing off innocent animals. We have gone through 2 betta fish, 5 guppies and 2 shrimp in the recent past and they all met very sad ends.

I WANT A PUPPY SO BAD!!! One of my friends got two maltipoos over the winter and he brought them to our musical practice and they were sooo cute! (They're also hypoallergenic, so if we can convince my parents to get one, my sister would be able to live with them around. The trouble is convincing my parents though...)

I see by your sidebar that you're currently reading Lady Midnight...HAVE YOU FINISHED IT YET??? I READ IT ALREADY AND I NEED TO FANGIRL SO BAD.

Sorry for all the capital letters. I'm kind of excited, because puppies...and Cassandra Clare... :)

    1. Haha, I feel like fish is an exception to the whole being a good pet owner thing though. I've had two angelfish (Salt and Pepper were their names), two fish that kinda reminded me of sunsets (Coral was one of them), and some weird fish that cleaned the tank by eating the algae. They all got some strange fish disease and decided to all die at once, which was a traumatic experience.

Oh my gosh, maltipoos are adorable! Labradoodles (and mini ones too) are hypoallergenic as well, so maybe that would help convince the parentals. (: I managed to convince them through some well placed hints and promises that I would talk her on walks and things like that.

I just finished it actually! I'm debating if I should have a full review of it up or not, but I'll give you a short version. I don't think I liked the characters as much as I did the original series, and it definitely wasn't even close to my love of the Infernal Devices crew. The plot had a good twist in it when you find out the villain, but I just wasn't attached to the villain as a good guy either, so I didn't feel emotional. I'm curious about the whole parabatai curse thing with Emma and Julian, but I wasn't really surprised by his feelings that he tried to keep hidden. I loved the scene with Mark and Ty though, where Mark hurts his hand to comfort his brother and make a stand for his faerie fighting style. That made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy. I guess overall I wanted to feel more attached to the characters, and it felt a little bit too blah and mellow to me in a lot of parts, and kind of disjointed in others. (Also, Mark and Emma?! I don't know how to feel about that.) I wanted so badly to love this book, but it didn't feel as wonderful as past Cassandra Clare books. ): (Judging by this comment, I might just have to do a full review, haha!)

    2. Do a full review!!!! To me, this was a pretty enjoyable book. There were some parts that I was really angry and confused about, but for the most part, it was pretty good.

      *Here comes the fangirling*

I SHIP EMMA AND JULIAN SO HARD BUT CASSANDRA CLARE JUST HAS TO DO THE WHOLE 'SHOVE THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE AWAY BECAUSE OF SOME STUPID CURSE OR BECAUSE THEY'RE RELATED THING' BUT SHE SHOULD KNOW BY NOW THAT ALL OF THESE CHARACTERS END UP TOGETHER!!!! IT WORKED OUT WITH CLARY AND JACE AND WILL AND TESSA WHY SHOULDN'T IT WORK WITH JULES AND EMMA????? I don't like that their relationship escalated so fast, I think it was a little to much with that stuff on the beach.

I LOVE THE LITTLE SIBLINGS THOUGH!! TAVVY IS ADORABLE AND TY AND LIVVY AND DRU AND EVERYONE. I love Perfect Diego too. He just cracks me up. :) I thought that Cristina and Mark would be a good thing but then EMMA HAS TO GO AND DO STUFF IN ORDER TO MAKE JULIAN MAD. Julian is the perfect little teddy bear person and I want him to be my child and I want to protect him and keep him safe forever. :( As you can probably tell, I have mixed feelings about this book. I think I might get a little too attached to all the characters and then someone's going to die and it won't be good. I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO DIE!!!!!

      *End of fangirling*

I'm sorry, it's late, and I'm tired and I haven't gotten a chance to talk to anyone about this book yet. I hope you don't mind! :)

    3. I get that they're childhood friends, but WHOA I was not expected them to go all the way in the beach scene. Also, I was shipping Christina with Mark, and then with Diego, and then Emma had to go and try to make Julian hate her. NO, EMMA THAT DIDN'T WORK FOR WILL AND TESSA; IT WON'T WORK FOR YOU!

I almost died when the Tavvy scene happened at the end with Malcolm. I was ready to roll up my sleeves and dive into the pages and rescue him myself! Surprisingly, I think I like Mark the best out of all the characters in the book, since he has so many emotions, but he still tries his best to be there for his family.

Don't worry about it. (: I've wanted to get some thoughts of my mind too.
