Mistborn was one of my all-time favorite series that I've read recently! A friend recommended them to me, and even though I wasn't hooked right away, I fell in love with them. You'll like the third book. The ending is phenomenal.
DeleteAnd after you finish it, if you'd like, there is a fourth book already out in his secondary trilogy to Mistborn. The Alloy of Law takes place 300 years after the MIstborn trilogy, and he has plans to make it its own trilogy.
Brandon Sanderson is pretty cool. I haven't read Mistborn yet but I have read a couple of his other books and their really good.

I've seen a few of his other books and they're pretty hefty books! (: Perhaps I shall tackle those this summer. You should definitely give Mistborn a try. The plot is amazing and I love the characters.
DeleteMistborn is awesome! I love that series. I'm surprised you don't like the fourth one as much... Well I can't wait until the fifth one... It's coming out later this year.

I completely agree! Mistborn was amazing.
DeleteI think the main reason that I didn't enjoy the fourth one as much was because I wanted to know so badly what happened to Spook, Ham, Breeze, etc. after the third book that I couldn't really fall in love with the new characters because I was distracted.
I think the other thing is that I'm more fascinated by old-fashioned battles with swords and such. Guns and bullets don't excite me as much. So when Wax describes all of his battles, they weren't quite as exciting for me as they were in the Mistborn trilogy.
I don't think the author did anything wrong, it was just more of a personal taste. (:
