Little Fish, Big Pond

School.

High School.

The nerves are starting to kick in, because today I walk into the building where much of the next four years will be spent. Am I scared? No, scared's not the word I'm looking for. Nervous, a little excited, yes. Scared? Not quite.

Sure, there'll be new people everywhere, but there are also old friends who I know have my back and in turn I have theirs. It's comforting, to say the least.

Wish me luck, and that by the end of this half day I won't be wishing I was at Azkaban instead!

. . . .

I dreadfully hope I do not get lost.

    1. Well, since I never got my letter, I doubt I'll be sent there.

      ....hopefully.

    2. That's odd. Three or so years ago, my friend got a letter from Hogwarts addressed to a Miss. Seana J. Vixen. She is now a Slytherin fourth year there under the name Seana.

    3. WHAT?! WHY WAS I NOT ALERTED TO THIS? Calm down . . . calm . . . oh goodness, I'm so excited I could fairly burst. Perhaps I could borrow that letter and sneak my way in . . .

  4. I hope you had a good day at school! I started high school today too, so I totally understand how you feel. 1 day down, just 183 more to go! (Or something like that....)

  5. I STARTED HIGH SCHOOL TODAY TOO
Gosh my school is so big...
I'm having horrible school-just-started depression when I get really lazy when faced with even a shred of homework, and want to just go to bed, sleep, and wake up to find myself either at Hogwarts or at the Institute.
Anyway, I wish you the best of luck at high school :)
And I just love your blog, it always cheers me up!

    1. The Institute? Forgive me for interrupting, but are you referring to The Mysterious Benedict Society, Makayla?

    2. I have that same thing, Makayla! There's also the "There's so many people and this place is HUGE!" feeling.

      Aw, I'm so glad!

  6. Actually, I'm referring to the Institutes where Shadowhunters train/live, from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. There's more than one...it just depends on where you live (for example, New York Institute) but I didn't want to give a hint to where I live so I just didn't put a city. Sorry for the confusion!

I have read The Mysterious Benedict Society series, though. It's fantastic!

    1. I haven't read The Mortal Instruments series. But I agree about The Mysterious Benedict Society-- it is fantastic!
