It's Raining Chocolate and Cheesy Notes
So. It's Valentine's Day, the day where stereotypically everyone celebrates that special someone in their life by buying them stuff and doing nice things for them like writing "Love you!" on a bunch of sticky notes. How nice.
The thing I don't understand about Valentine's Day is that if it's a day to express love, why is it that people focus so much on the fact that they're not dating anyone at the time? Sure, you might not have a boyfriend/girlfriend, but you can still celebrate the fact that you have friends and family that love you, yes? (Just in case you didn't know, a certain blogger *coughcoughmecoughcough* loves all of you!)
And for you lovely people who were wondering, no, I do not have a boyfriend. And before you go pitying me for my lack of a significant male other, just keep in mind that I'm really not looking for a "special friend" (as my grandpa calls it) right now. I don't mind being single and letting my hair fly free in the wind as I frolick through the meadows.
For all of you who do have boyfriends and girlfriends, huzzah for you! Treat them to something special, and don't forget to love them on every single other day of the year too! (Please keep the PDA under control though. Some of us don't like to witness your face licking.)
I hope you have a fabulous Valentine's Day whether you're eating chocolate (like me), hanging with some friends, or having a picnic in the snow with some polar bears.
That is all.
Cheers,
Sea

I love you too! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you as well! Hope yours was fabulous! (:
DeleteHaha, I love the face battle picture! "You may now face battle the bride!"
ReplyDeleteFace battle is a much better word! (:
DeleteI personally, being a grudge towards all things PDA related, don't really see the point in Valentines Day. I mean, if we all just ignore the fact that it's a MASSIVE SCAM commercially, shouldn't you love them every day of the year, and not just show it on one media amplified day?
ReplyDeleteSorry for sending a load of bad vibes over to your blog, but I literally just spent yesterday eating chocolate and watching the whole of season one of Gossip Girl..
Haha, no worries about the bad vibes. Glad you stopped by. (:
DeleteYou're right, though. Valentine's Day is massive in affecting the global sales of chocolate, flowers, and everything in between. I totally agree that you should love people on every day of the year, not just on Valentine's Day.
Don't feel bad about watching an entire season in a day and eating food. That's basically a summary of my life.
Happy belated Valentine's Day (because I didn't know you had posted yesterday...)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a significant other, either. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like it if I got flowers or chocolate. :)

Agreed. Chocolate is condensed happiness, and I wouldn't mind getting flowers either. (:
