Hunger Games Spotlight: Thresh

Well, that was a longer break that intended, sorry! But I'm back on track now, and I am doing Thresh who is from the same district as Rue, if I remember correctly. Well enjoy the Thresh spotlight!


Hunger Games Spotlight: Thresh
Thresh was reaped from District 11 along with Rue, and was sent to the arena to fight against the other tributes. Not much is known about Thresh's background, but we do know that he is strong and resourceful and was a huge threat in the games. During the games he hid out in a wheat field and probably used it for both food and for a hiding place. The main pack of tributes that formed together avoided Thresh because if they attacked him in the wheat field he would have the greater advantage over them. When the Feast arrives in the games, he comes to claim his backpack and overhears Clove threatening Katniss and also taunting her with Rue's death. This of course makes him very angry and he attacks Clove which gives Katniss a chance to escape. Thresh accuses Clove of killing Rue, which she denies, and then continues to bash her head in with a rock while she screams for Cato. Thresh then goes to Katniss to ask about Rue being her ally, and she tells him that Marvel killed Rue and that she sang to Rue as she died. Thresh lets Katniss go calling her the "Girl on Fire". When Thresh leaves the Feast, he takes not only his backpack, but Cato's as well which forces Cato to come after him. Thresh's death cause is unknown, but it is assumed by Katniss and Peeta that it was Cato who killed him.

"Just this one time, I let you go. For the little girl. You and me, we're even then. No more owed. You understand?"
